James holds a Masters from Bath Spa University in Bath, England and has been conducting seminars and experiential workshops throughout the United States, Canada, and in Europe since 1986. A serious student of depth psychology, as well as a seasoned teacher and guide, James has a wide range of experience in both group and individual work.

1996-Present    From 1986 till 1996 I had transitioned to presenting Holotropic Breathwork workshops as my full time occupation but by 1996 my practice began to transition because by that time I had about ten years of study of Jungian and Neo-Jungian studies behind me and I began to do more individual work with clients using Jungian sensibilities. This part of my practice grew to the point where I reduced the number of Breath Work events I was doing and added more individual work. Today a large part part of my practice is working with individuals for psycho-spiritual growth as well as guiding  clients who are in transition states.

1990 -Present       Beginning in 1990 I started leading and  and co-leading  a number of weekly  women's and  men’s  psychotherapy groups.  These groups were highly experiential and utilized a powerful psycho-therapeutic process developed by Dr. Ron Herring called G.U.T.S. (Great for Uncovering Shadow).

This process consist  of  psychodrama, voice dialogue and expressive emotional release as well as other therapeutic components. I continue to facilitate this process in addition to Holotropic Breathwork in my longer closed groups.
2001 - Present    My mission is about combining the best of Shamanic wisdom and sensibilities especially the use of non-ordinary states of awareness for the purposes of healing and spiritual experiences with the  insights  concerning the human psyche that have been discovered and mapped  by depth  psychologists, especially the work of C.G. Jung and other Jungian  Jungians such as  Dr. Edward Edinger, Marie Louise von Franz, and Robert Johnson. I also rely strongly on the work of the  Neo-Jungian theories of Dr. Robert Moore.

To pursue and embody that mission  I have designed a two year  training program that provides practitioners the necessary knowledge to guide their clients into deeply healing experiences and processes safely and effectively.
